Playa de Los Naufragos Beach, Torrevieja
Torrevieja offers visitors an excellent choice of attractions and activities but one of its focal points is the lovely selection of beaches. There are over a dozen areas where visitors can enjoy swimming and sun bathing, some just small bays but others with long golden sands, excellent facilities, lifeguards and beach sports.
Playa de los Naufragos is also known as Playa de Poniente. It’s a long and wide beach with lovely fine golden sand. With its palm trees and glistening blue waters you will feel a million miles from home and the stresses of day to day life. On first sight it is evident why it was awarded the Blue Flag and Qualitur Award.
It is kept in impeccable condition with nightly cleaning during the busy months. You can swim safe in the knowledge that there are Life Guards watching, which is particularly reassuring with young children. There is ramp access onto the beach, allowing it to be enjoyed by all. There is access to toilets and foot showers.
With umbrella and sun lounger rentals, as well as pedalo rentals for if you fancy something more than just sun bathing, there really is pretty much everything you need. There are also play areas for young children and places to get food and drink to keep everyone’s tummies satisfied.
There is a bus stop by the beach (line E).
